
Join Teresa beachside for an intimate small group “Kripalini” gentle yoga class. A blend of three rich yoga lineages in which Teresa is trained: Kripalu, Kundalini and Ayurveda.

Kundalini is an energetic practice of movement and postures (Kriya), mantras (repeated sounds), and breathing practices which calms the nervous system, enhances lung function, and awakens your creative/energetic potential. No prior experience required and classes are all-level. Kripalu Yoga as envisioned by Swami Kripalu, focuses on a non-judgmental awareness of mind, body movement and breath and helps to cultivate body awareness, while enhancing breath capacity, and pursuing a sense of self inquiry.

Ayurveda is a 5,000 year old sister science to yoga which outlines timeless wisdom for modern wellness. Ayurvedic treatment combines a wide range of techniques and treatments to prevent and treat illness, focusing on assessment, diet and lifestyle. It helps us relate to our food choices, environment, activities, relationships and entertainment/technological choices.
Each 75 min class includes a 50 min physical practice, and an optional 25 min of Ayurveda based holistic health coaching. Sample health topics include: stress management, improving sleep and digestion, and dealing with life transition and hormonal issues.
Class begins with intention setting and a series of warm up’s, followed by posture flow and ends with a period of relaxation. After a small break, we will engage in a conversation designed to assess your specific health needs and to share tips and strategies pulled from Ayurveda to help you regain a state of health.

WHAT TO EXPECT: During your initial session, we will discuss your goals, current health challenges, and review your diet, exercise and lifestyle habits.
Based on findings from our intake and consultation conversation, you will be given personalized Ayurvedic diet, self care and lifestyle recommendations (as well as Dosha balancing yoga, breathing and mindfulness instructions, as appropriate), to support your new journey towards balance, health and wellness.
